the first update that comes to mind is my recent purchase of the iPhone 4. i am no longer with sad, broken motorola and have upgraded to the ever sexy, ever talented iphone! how i've missed your sleek black body, mesmerizing graphics, sensational apps... if i could have a love affair with you, i would. to say the least, this new phone is great! my favorite new feature on the iPhone 4 is facetime, which is essentially skype on cellular phone. although seeing who you're talking to isn't absolutely necessary, it is pretty fun.
besides getting the iPhone, this summer has so far been marked by my trip to las vegas. while las vegas is no bali, it was still relaxing to get out of the house and out of san francisco even for a couple of days. three digit degree weather welcomed me and reminded me that summer in san francisco isn't really summer. the hottest day in sf so far has been maybe 80 degrees F while the hottest day in las vegas, while I was there, was 115 degrees F. needless to say, i spent a good amount of time in the pool. i even caught a touch of color! since i'm not 21 yet, i spent the majority of my time in LV walking the strip and seeing the hotels and malls. we probably walked 3 miles every day on average; by the end of each day, my legs and feet felt like falling off. it was nice being out though and i was so surprised to hear so many different languages on the street. the euro is clearly quite strong. we also went to see ka, which is a cirque du soleil performance, at the mgm. it was truly the most beautiful and creative show i have ever watched. i am now a cirque fan. finally, we went to watch the nba summer league. $25 tickets for an all-day pass, any seat in the gyms. we watched so much basketball, i can't even keep track of what teams played. the most memorable game i watched was the dallas mavericks and washington wizards game. to my surprise, there were two asian (chinese and taiwanese) players! pretty awesome..
so far, that's it. i'll post more when there's something else to write about.
