UP

i am a huge fan of pixar's up. pixar undoubtedly produces the best animated movies but with their newest flick, Up, they may have produced the best movie, ever. needless to say, i am thrilled they're nominated for five oscars this year. obviously, they should win all of them. i haven't seen all of the other movies that they're up against but i will give up the benefit of the doubt and say it's best of them all.




russell is adorable. he's the epitome of innocent and loyal child. however, he's not my favorite character. that spot in my heart is taken by none other than carl fredricksen. to me, carl is perfect. i love his moody-ness, witty sarcastic sense of humor, dedication to ellie, loyalty, kindness, etc. i can go on about carl.
besides great characters, up boasts a great soundtrack (married life is of course my cellphone ringtone)! the music was ever so pleasant and at times ever so moody and dark. each piece fit perfectly with the scene. up's composer, michael giacchino deservingly won numerous awards for his beautiful album.
